Walk along two Lake Missoula Floods signed interpretive trails with exhibits
Giant current ripples
Flood channels
A park setting with Lake Missoula Flood play features to eat your home-made lunch
Erratic boulders (rocks without a local source) brought here by these floods
View fossils from the Ice Age
A local winery tour & optional wine tasting (wine tasting additional $25/per person)
Tour Guide: Rick Thompson
Rick Thompson has spent over 25 years studying the effects of the Lake Missoula Floods in this region and has written the book: “GigaFlood – The Largest of the Lake Missoula Floods in Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington” which is illustrated with his own photographs, maps and diagrams to show you the evidence still visible today from this catastrophic flood. He has given countless presentations on the subject, been interviewed for a number of newspaper articles and was twice featured on Grant McOmie’s “Grant’s Getaways” television program.
